FSC to Allow Pooled Issuance of Fractional Investment Securities
Published: · Source: mk.co.kr

South Korea’s Financial Services Commission is moving to add flexibility to how fractional investment securities are issued in line with the institutionalization of token securities. The FSC said on May 15, during a meeting chaired by Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young, that it plans to permit issuers to pool the same type of underlying assets within a defined scope and issue fractional investment securities based on them. The measure would shift the framework beyond issuance tied only to individual underlying assets, allowing assets of the same type to be grouped within certain limits. It is expected to affect issuance structures and product design in the fractional investment market as token securities rules take shape. Source: mk.co.kr
