Retirement Pension Stock Exposure Jumps as Investors Move to AI and Chips
Published: · Source: mk.co.kr

Samsung Securities analyzed 310,000 retirement pension investors and found a clear shift in how retirement money is being managed. Instead of relying mainly on bank-rate-style principal-guaranteed products, more investors are moving into performance-linked products with equity exposure. As the stock market has strengthened, including the Kospi recently breaking above the 7,000 level, products focused on global AI and semiconductor sectors drew concentrated interest. Bond-mixed products tied to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix also gained popularity. The decline in principal-guaranteed investing and the rise of performance-linked products show a stronger focus on returns in retirement pension management. However, equity and sector products can vary with market volatility, so investors need to check product structures carefully. Source: mk.co.kr
