DB Securities Opens 12th DB GAPS Contest, 2,799 Students to Compete

DB Securities announced on May 14 that it will hold the 2026 12th DB GAPS Investment Contest, hosted by the DB Kim Jun-ki Cultural Foundation and organized by DB Securities. The contest will run for three months from June 1 to August 31, with 933 teams from 141 universities in Korea and abroad, totaling 2,799 participants. Participation is up 11% from the previous year. DB GAPS is described as Korea’s first real investment contest centered on domestic and overseas asset allocation strategies. Participants will design and manage portfolios using major local and global assets through a simulated investment system provided free by DB Securities. Evaluation will cover not only returns but also the logic, originality and risk management of strategies through presentations and debates. After the contest, scholarships will go to the top 30 teams by return, while the top two teams will receive an opportunity to visit CES. Outstanding teams will also receive preferential document screening when applying to DB Securities and eligibility to apply for DB Kim Jun-ki Cultural Foundation master’s and doctoral scholarships.
