Korea Exchange Speeds AI Shift With FairLabs Across Core Capital Market Workflows
Published: · Source: hankyung.com

Korea Exchange said on May 13 that it is accelerating its artificial intelligence transition, or AX, by applying AI technology to core capital market operations with FairLabs, the AI technology startup it acquired in February. The two sides are using an AX council to turn workplace ideas into demo versions and reflect feedback from practitioners. They first introduced a solution that detects important listed-company information such as embezzlement, breach of trust and default from news data in real time and delivers it to staff. They are also developing a report function in which AI analyzes disclosure materials and checks stocks requiring market measures, such as designation as or release from administrative issue status. KRX also plans to automate industry classification management by analyzing corporate revenue mix and business areas, and to develop micro-sector indexes. FairLabs was recently selected to lead a 4.1 billion won culture technology R&D project by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. KRX plans to connect FairLabs technology beyond internal support to external revenue businesses such as data and indexes. Source: hankyung.com.
