Global lifecare company Newon said on the 15th that its individually recognized ingredient, Cissus extract, was confirmed through a human application trial to increase secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), an appetite-regulating hormone. The company said the findings were published in an international academic journal. GLP-1 is known as a hormone related to appetite regulation, and Newon emphasized that the effect of Cissus extract was confirmed in a human trial.
