Food Smart Factory Support Expands as KBIZ and Samsung Offer Up to 200 Million Won

The Korea Federation of SMEs and Samsung Electronics are recruiting companies to join a smart factory support program for food manufacturers, together with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The program targets small and midsize food-processing companies and supports advanced smart factories capable of real-time factory and equipment control and process automation. A total of 15 companies will be selected, with up to 200 million won available for each. Selected firms may receive support for ICT-linked manufacturing management systems such as MES, FEMS and QMS, as well as equipment-control automation. The package also includes manufacturing-site innovation mentoring by Samsung Electronics experts, workforce training for manufacturing innovation and market development support. Source: yna.co.kr.
